My name is Diana Elizabeth Jordan- I love entertaining and celebrating diversity through my art.

I truly believe I was meant to act because I entered the world in high dramatic fashion. I wasn’t breathing when I was born the Drs’ worked on me for 45 minutes before I started breathing on my own. As a result I have cerebral palsy which mildly affects my speech and gait. My disability is a part of who I am but does not define who I am. My life experiences have given me a rich emotional well to draw from and infuse into each character I play.

I am a daughter, a friend, a co-worker, an older sister, an activist, and the aunt to the two most adorable boys on the universe (I might be a little biased). I want the opportunity to portray many people in my “reel lives" and play: best friend, homeless woman, crime victim, patient, banker, juror, serial killer, space alien, where my disability is incidental to the character or storyline.

I started my career doing theater in Chicago and then was accepted into the MFA acting program at California State University Long Beach . Receiving my MFA in was one of the proudest moments of my life. I have been cast in over 30 plays, award winning short and feature films and television. I was most recently cast as “The Homeless Woman on FX’s new hit show Legit. The majority of roles I have been cast in were not written as disability specific. I look forward to having more of those opportunities in the future
